As part of Ateneo de Davao University’s commitment to service and community, the University Community Engagement and Advocacy Council (UCEAC) was established.

Volunteer Opportunities
Second Wave of Hope for Davao Oriental
The second wave of donations for Davao Oriental has arrived. Thanks to the generous hearts of the Formation Classes of the Arrupe Office of Social Formation (AOSF) and various donors who shared what they could for our relief mobilization. 
Special thanks as well to our IP Scholars who took the time to sort and organize the donations — truly embodying the Atenean spirit of service and solidarity.

Advocacy Projects
Extending a Helping Hand 
The Ateneo de Davao University, through the Center of Psychological Extension and Research Services (COPERS) and an 11-man volunteer team from the Physical Plant Office (PPO), Security Team and UCEAC, went to Tarragona and Mati, Davao Oriental last October 16 &17to deliver both Psychological First Aid and relief goods a week after the earthquake that affected the province.
Together, we continue to live out our mission of fortitude in faith and service for others.

Community Outreach
UCEAC at the Laudato Si’ Summit 2025 
UCEAC Chair Sir Macoy Samante joined the Laudato Si’ Summit held last September 4–6, 2025, at the Ateneo de Manila University.
He shared insights on Integral Ecology and reflected on the hopes and challenges of living it today. In his talk, “Wellsprings of Hope: Engaging Schools and Church Communities for Our Common Home,” he highlighted the role of schools and faith communities in caring for our common home.
